Last month one person was killed and eight were wounded during clashes between members of the ruling Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN) and a local indigenous party, Yatama, in Waspán municipality, in the impoverished indigenous North Atlantic Autonomous Region (Raan).
