TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: Election still too close to call

The latest opinion polls continue to suggest that the 7 September Trinidad & Tobago election will be a very close contest which could still go either way. Back in March, the polls were suggesting that the opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) was ahead by 36% to 26% for the ruling People’s Partnership (PP) government and its main United National Congress (UNC) component. Now they are suggesting a 1-seat win for the PP, or maybe for the PNM.
