Development: On 24 November a judge in Porto Alegre ordered that IESA Oil and Gas put aside R$30m (US$12m) for possible pay-out settlements with the 1,000 workers it is likely to fire following the cancellation of its contract with Brazil’s state-owned oil firm, Petrobras.
