A US$450bn friendship

“One of the great – yet underappreciated – success stories of the global economy”. This was how, in a recent report, the Washington-based Wilson Center described US-Mexico trade which, on figures from the Mexican economy ministry, reached US$449bn in 2011. Yet the report also highlights obstacles to this growth – mainly in the form of infrastructure constraints.
