In brief: Paraguay’s monthly inflation drops

*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has announced that monthly inflation in April was 0.8%, down from 1.1% the previous month. However, annual inflation increased to 4.0%, up from 3.6% in March. Monthly inflation was primarily driven by rising food costs, with the BCP highlighting a 20.7% increase in the price of fresh vegetables and a 4.5% increase in the price of fresh fish.
