BRAZIL: Gol forced into Chapter 11 after ongoing struggle

Another Latin American airline filed for bankruptcy in January amid ongoing financial troubles. The good news is that Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, Brazil’s second largest airline with roughly a third of the domestic market share, will continue flying and stands a reasonable chance of surviving. The bad news is that it may not be a pretty outcome for everybody involved.
