* The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has released its latest monthly oil market report, in which Venezuela claimed to have produced 820,000 barrels per day (bpd) in August, up from 810,000 bpd in July. However, OPEC’s own estimate put Venezuelan oil production in August at 730,000 bpd, down from 772,000 bpd in July.
