BRAZIL: Corruption probe implicates Lula’s communications minister
On 1 September local media reported that Brazil’s supreme court (STF) had frozen assets of Juscelino Filho, the communications minister of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, due to the minister’s alleged involvement in a scheme to misappropriate public funds for the benefit of his sister, a mayor in Maranhão state.
