BRAZIL: Military police officers arrested over January riots
On 18 August Brazil’s federal police (PF) arrested seven officers of the military police of the Distrito Federal capital region (PMDF). The officers are being held in preventive detention for alleged involvement in the 8 January riots, when supporters of the right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2023) stormed government buildings in Brasília.
