MEXICO: Concamin dispute could have repercussions

Divisions have emerged within one of Mexico’s private sector’s most important umbrella organisations, the Confederación de Cámaras Industriales (Concamin), over its leadership election due to take place on 21 September. One of the candidates seeking to succeed the current chairman, Francisco Cervantes, requested the economy minister, Tatiana Clouthier, to intervene in the process claiming that it was undemocratic.
