BRAZIL: Guedes discusses reforms, denies default risk
On 3 August, Brazil’s Economy Minister Paulo Guedes stressed that the government will not default on the payment of ‘precatórios’, court-ordered government debt reparation payments, while defending a reform which would stagger such repayments to give the federal executive more fiscal wiggle room.
