Looking for the green recovery

One interesting theme for governments and energy industry players is the concept of a post-pandemic green recovery. The essential idea is that long term investment in green infrastructure will help societies recover from the short-term disruption and lob losses caused by Covid-19, while at the same improving society’s ability to deal with the threat of long-term climate change. Various politicians have sought out slogans to encapsulate the idea, such as ‘build back better’ or ‘build back greener’. While they may not always get it right (since uncertainty over both the pandemic and the way climate change will evolve remains high) the data suggests green investments could play a highly positive role in the LAC region over the next decade.
