HONDURAS: Electoral process continues to draw criticism

The release of final results from Honduras’s 14 March primaries after weeks of delay [WR-21-14] has failed to quell concerns regarding the electoral institutions ahead of the general election in November 2021. Two civil-society groups, Red por la Equidad Democrática en Honduras (REDH) and Foro Social de la Deuda Externa y Desarrollo de Honduras (Fosdeh), which have long called for the approval of a new electoral law [LEH] [WR-21-14], have released reports on the primaries which flag up major flaws with the electoral process.
