PERU: Peru announces sale of lithium deposits

On 11 February, Canadian energy company, Plateau Energy, announced that it had reached an agreement to sell its interests in both lithium and uranium deposits in the Peruvian altiplano to Canada-based American Lithium. Plateau, whose Peruvian subsidiary is Macusani Yellowcake, will acquire a 21% share in American Lithium as part of the deal. The agreement is expected to be finalised in May 2021, once it is approved by Canadian regulatory authorities.
