PARAGUAY: Government tries to solve communication issues

“Let’s hope that you, from the press, can give us a hand communicating the good things that the government is doing,” Juan Manuel Brunetti, Paraguay’s newly appointed communications minister, exhorted of journalists after his swearing-in ceremony on 9 February. Brunetti’s brief, that of helping improve the image of the embattled government led by President Mario Abdo Benítez, will probably require him to do more than merely asking the press to improve its coverage.
