In brief: Colombia

* Colombia’s mining & energy ministry (Minminas) has reported that national oil production reached 866,480 barrels per day (bpd) in August, a 0.7% month-on-month increase and a 0.9% year-on-year increase. Minminas attributed the increase in production to the restart of operations in the Mantis and Matenegra fields, as well as the coming on stream of the Guarimena field. The ministry also reported that national natural gas production reached 1.01m cubic feet per day in August, a 7% month-on-month increase and a 11% year-on-year increase.
