Chile: Piñera unveils new security strategy
Improving public security in Chile was one of the pledges that President Sebastián Piñera made during his electoral campaign last year. Five months into his four-year term Piñera started outlining some of the measures that his government will seek to implement to this effect. The measures are the product of extensive consultations that the Piñera government carried out with various quarters to try to find new ways on how to tackle insecurity.
