Gov’t under pressure over new corruption scandal in Uruguay

Development: On 12 August legislators from Uruguay’s centre-right opposition Partido Nacional (PN. Blancos) called for the interior minister, Eduardo Bonomi, to appear before congress to explain the allegations of government involvement in an emerging corruption scandal affecting the national football association (AUF).
