*The number of new vehicles sold in Brazil increased by 21.3% in the first four months of 2018 to 762,849 units, up from 628,861 units during the same period last year, according to Brazil’s federation of automobile dealers (Fenabrave). The increase in sales can be explained by improved access to credit and lower interest rates offered on loans to buy vehicles as the economy picks up.
