Argentina: The agency in charge of the administration of state assets (AABE) has announced the sale of seven plots of land owned by the state as part of the Argentine federal government’s plans to raise additional public funds to finance national infrastructure works. An AABE statement said that President Mauricio Macri had approved the sale of six plots of land located in the city of Buenos Aires and one located in the south-western province of Neuquén. The statement added that the government hopes to raise some US$326m with the sale of the plots that it will use to finance projects such as modernising the national railway system.
