Colombia: Colombia’s civil aviation authority (Aerocivil) has announced that the ‘Los Garzones’ airport that services the city of Montería, the capital of the northern Córdoba department, has been approved as an international airport. An Aerocivil statement said that the Los Garzones airport has now met all the requirements to receive international flights, making it Colombia’s 17th international airport. The statement added that the airport’s new designation will lead to “more businessmen and tourists visiting this region”.
