Bolivia: President Evo Morales has named Alfredo Rada, the deputy minister for coordination with social movements, and Javier Zavaleta, a national deputy for the ruling Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) party, as his new ministers for the presidency and defence respectively. They replace René Martínez and Reymi Ferreira who stepped down for health reasons. The changes come as President Morales reaffirmed the other 18 cabinet members in their posts as his government begins its 13th year in office.
