COLOMBIA: ELN and FARC sign Montecristi declaration

Colombia’s two main guerrilla groups – one of which has already laid down its arms and the other of which is in negotiations to do so – signed a joint declaration in Montecristi, Ecuador, ratifying their support for the peace process. But there have been renewed indications that the road ahead is beset with difficulties.
