*President Michel Temer has named journalist Sérgio Sá Leitão as his new culture minister. Leitão is President Temer’s third culture minister after the previous two incumbents resigned over corruption and conflict-of-interest scandals. Prior to joining the federal government, Leitão worked as culture secretary under former mayor of the city of Rio de Janeiro Eduardo Pães (2009-2017), between 2009 and 2015.
