Brazil: Rio de Janeiro police force expels ‘traitors’

Authorities in Rio de Janeiro state have begun to purge the police force of officers who are collaborating with criminals. We cannot have any “rotten oranges”, said head of the police’s homicide division at São Gonçalo and Niterói division, who helped coordinate one of the state’s biggest ever crackdowns on police corruption.
