Argentina: The foreign ministry has announced that Argentina has signed a trade agreement between the Southern Common Market regional trade bloc (Mercosur – comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela [currently suspended]), and Egypt. The agreement, which had been signed by all member countries bar Argentina, eliminates tariffs on 60% of the products traded with Egypt with immediate effect. Argentina’s foreign ministry also noted that the agreement will be extended to 100% of traded products within ten years.
