Updating FTA with Canada

Accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet paid a two-day visit to Canada last month where she met Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Among other efforts to boost bilateral ties, the two leaders signed agreements amending and modernising the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
