Exports pick up
Uruguay’s exports in the first half of 2017 totalled US$4.48bn, an 8% increase on the same period last year, according to figures released by the official investment and trade promotion institute, Uruguay XXI. This is the first time that exports have increased year-on-year in the first six months of a year since 2014.
