Uruguay: Economy minister Danilo Astori and the local representative for the Inter-American Bank (IADB) Morgan Doyle have signed a contract for a US$75m loan aimed at strengthening fiscal management and investment in infrastructure for departmental governments. The loan is the first in a credit line worth US$300m for Uruguay approved by the IADB at the end of 2016.
