Merkel pushes to increase trade with Mexico

Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto and Germany’s chancellor, Angela Merkel, met to discuss trade, the environment, and the upcoming ‘G-20’ summit during Merkel’s 9-10 June official visit to Mexico. The talks helped shore up bilateral relations between the two countries as the 2016-2017 ‘dual Mexico-Germany year’ came to a close.
