Bolivia: The president of Bolivia’s state-owned oil company, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Oscar Barriga Arteaga, has announced that the company has won a tender by Paraguay’s state-owned oil firm, Petropar, to export 4,000 tonnes (t) of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to cover the winter demand for that fuel in Paraguay. At a price of US$470 a tonne, this will translate into an additional US$2bn for Bolivia’s state coffers.
