Peru: Unionised teachers in Cusco region are on strike until the local government agrees to 14 conditions. The national education ministry (Minedu) has sent a commission to negotiate a settlement with the teachers. Earlier this week, Minedu head, Marilú Martens, expressed her concern for local students affected by the strike action.
