Development: On 29 June, the University of Toronto’s Citizen’s Lab, a think-tank that studies information controls and which helped to uncover the evidence that prominent Mexican journalists and activists had been targeted by the ‘Pegasus’ electronic surveillance system, said that figures from the right-wing opposition Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) party had also been targeted by the spyware.
