Ecuador: The state-owned oil firm, Petroamazonas, has announced that it will launch a new oil tender process for the exploitation of 15 ‘minor’ onshore oil fields located in the Amazon provinces of Orellana and Sucumbíos from 27-30 June. A Petroamazonas statement said that it considers ‘minor’ fields those that produce less than 5,000 barrels of oil per day and the that tender’s objective is to attract private investment to help increase production in these fields.
