* The governments of Brazil and Mexico have reiterated their interest in signing a new agreement aimed at increasing bilateral trade and investment by extending existing non-tariff agreements to include more agricultural and industrial products. Currently bilateral trade between the two countries is worth around US$7.3m and Brazil has a trade surplus of US$3.5m.
