Peru: Peru’s public ministry (MP) has signed a new agreement with its Brazilian counterpart (MPF) to gain access to information about a multinational bribery scheme uncovered by the ‘Operation Car Wash’ anti-corruption investigations. This includes the transcript of plea bargaining testimonies from Marcelo Odebrecht, the former CEO of the eponymous company (2008-2015), and former Odebrecht Peru executive, Jorge Barata, among others. In exchange, Peruvian authorities agreed not to press charges against the Odebrecht company, or its employees.
