Bolivia: The authorities have announced the arrest of Carmen Lola Tellería Guzmán, the legal manager of YPFB Andina, a subsidiary of Bolivia’s state-owned oil firm Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB). Tellería was arrested in the city of Yacuiba, Tarija department, as she was trying to leave Bolivia and cross into Argentina. Tellería is a person of interest in alleged irregularities in the purchase of three drilling machines from Italian firm Drillmec SpA. Six people have so far been placed on preventative detention pending trial in relation to the case.
