* The Mexican and Panamanian governments have signed a new bilateral agreement on the exchange of financial information. This is in line with commitments made by Panama with regard to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). Approved by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in July 2014, the CRS calls on jurisdictions to obtain information from their financial institutions and automatically exchange that information with other jurisdictions on an annual basis.
