In brief: Colombia, Peru

Colombia: The trade, industry & tourism ministry (Mincit) has cited the findings of a new report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which showed that Colombia attracted the third largest amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Latin America in 2016 after Mexico and Brazil. According to the UNCTAD report, Colombia received US$13.59bn of FDI last year, 15.9% more than in the previous year.
