Growing more assured

After showing signs of being distinctly rattled in the weeks following the inauguration of Donald Trump as US president in January, senior Mexican government officials are now giving the impression that they believe bilateral relations are back on a sound footing, even if they are not exuding complete confidence. Senior US government officials have offered timely reassurance to their Mexican counterparts.
