Paraguay: The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission that is currently visiting Paraguay, Hamid Faruquee, announced that the international organisation will revise up its GDP growth forecast for Paraguay this year. Speaking to journalists, Faruquee said that at the start of the year the IMF projected 3.3% GDP growth for Paraguay this year but that given the dynamism exhibited by the country’s domestic economy in the first quarter, in which it posted GDP growth of 5.5%, this projection would now have to be revised.
