Argentina: The national statistics institute (Indec) has released new figures showing that economic activity in the country increased by 0.8% in March compared with the same month last year, and by 1.9% compared to February. The March results suggests that economic activity is picking up after the country posted just 0.1% year-on-year GDP growth in the first quarter of the year. This increases the prospects that Argentina will return to positive economic growth following the 2.3% contraction in 2016.
