Bolivia: Representatives from the private sector lobby, Confederación de Empresarios Privados de Bolivia (CEPB), have met with the government led by President Evo Morales to express concern about the 7% general salary increase and 10.8% increase in the national minimum wage for this year promulgated by President Morales on 1 May. The salary increases, which are retroactive to 1 January, raise the current minimum wage to B$2,000 (US$224) per month, up from B$1,850 (US$207) per month.
