Argentina: The Buenos Aires City municipal government has announced the suspension of the chief of the city’s police force, Pedro Potocar, so that he can face investigation in an alleged corruption case. Potocar, the first chief of the Buenos Aires City police force which was created only last year, has been accused of being the head of a police ring that solicited bribes from local business owners in the city in exchange for increased protection. A local judge has ordered Potocar's detention.
