* Chinese carrier, China Southern Airlines, has begun operating in Mexico with the establishment of a Guangzhou-Vancouver-Mexico City route. Mexico’s tourism ministry (Sectur) has said that the new air link with China could help increase the number of Chinese visitors to the country to 102,000 this year, compared to the 74,300 that visited Mexico last year, and help boost Guangzhou-Mexico bilateral trade, which reached US$10.5bn in 2016.
