El Salvador’s opposition and gov’t dig in their heels over fiscal crisis

Development: On 7 April, El Salvador’s main opposition party, Alianza Republicana Nacionalista (Arena), issued a statement accusing the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN) government led by President Salvador Sánchez Cerén, of creating a “false crisis” in the country’s fiscal situation and seeking to discredit the opposition.
