Mexico: A new study by the senate’s Centro de Estudios Internacionales Gilberto Bosques has calculated that up to 950m jobs could be lost in the US states of Texas, California, Arizona, and Michigan if the US decides to impose a ‘border tax’ on Mexican imports as part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) renegotiations.
