Brazilian probe into 2014 election campaign deepens

Development: On 8 March, a judge from Brazil’s electoral court (TSE) said that President Michel Temer could still hold public office even if he was convicted of soliciting illegal campaign donations in 2014, when he was running for re-election alongside the impeached former president, Dilma Rousseff (2011-2016).
