Chinchero: the runway to ruin?
On 27 February Peru’s transport & communications minister and first vice-president, Martín Vizcarra, declared that a long-awaited public-private partnership (PPP) project to build an airport at Chinchero, located 29kms away from the city of Cusco, the capital of the eponymous region, would be delayed for at least three months.
