Regional giants eye closer integration
“The world presents enormous challenges right now, as big as the mountain range that separates us,” Argentina’s President Mauricio Macri said during an official visit to Chile on 12 February. “We have to think how we are going to…transform them into opportunities for our people.” Macri has stepped up efforts since the turn of the year, and in particular in February, to respond to the challenge he baldly stated in Santiago during a joint press conference with his Chilean peer Michelle Bachelet.
